VACANCIES


This role involves but is not limited to:

Working with Fee Earners and other members of the business to provide a first class billing service for the firm

Drafting bills and approving bills

Producing credit notes

Ensuring any agreed client fee arrangements or billing deadlines are complied with

Compliance with SARS, VAT

Time and disbursement write offs

Dealing with the requests and queries sent to the Billing team in a timely and efficient manner

Providing WIP reports and liaising with Fee Earners to maximise their billing revenue

Investigating legacy issues and providing critical thinking in helping to resolve/dig into problem areas

Collaboration with the wider Finance teams

Overseeing the Billing team when the Revenue Manager is not available

Ability to answer all types of billing queries confidently

Ensuring all financial data is accurately captured in the financial systems

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience of working as a Biller in a Law firm

Working knowledge of Legal Aid billing

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Good experience of using 3E and fast ability to pick up new systems

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team providing support to others

Ability to operate in a professional, calm and friendly manner

Self-motivated

Competent in Microsoft Office

High levels of attention to detail
