I am a Solicitor in the actions against the police team.  I previously worked in a respected specialist civil liberties firm in London where I trained in actions against the police complaints and civil claims, public law, human rights, discrimination and data protection breaches.

I act for victims of state misconduct and for the families of individuals who have died in state custody.  I represent clients seeking justice who have been abused or suffered breaches of their human rights at the hands of the state bodies including:

  • Police
  • Mental health institutions;
  • Prisons
  • Immigration and detention centres

I can help:

  • Those who have been assaulted and/or abused by care staff in mental health hospitals;
  • Individuals who have been falsely imprisoned;
  • Family members in inquest matters;
  • Transgender clients who have been abused/discriminated against;
  • Children mistreated in prisons/police custody;
  • Clients who have been assaulted;
  • Clients whose confidence/data protection rights have been breached (including unlawful use of photographs);
  • Victims of discrimination;
  • Victims of human rights breaches;

My case-load at McMillan Williams, comprises complaints and civil actions against the police, inquests and claims under the Human Rights Act.  I strive to deliver first line results for clients who have been mistreated, abused or denied justice.  I always seek to create strong client relationships and manage clients’ expectations carefully to ensure that the client is kept aware of their rights and prospects at each stage of their case.
