My passion lies in Family Law, as I thoroughly enjoy how each case is different.
I believe that majority of the people who have chosen a career in the legal profession, did so, with the initial intention of helping others. Family Law fulfils that objective, as I feel we are helping the Client reach a goal, be it the end of a matrimonial dispute or gaining access to their children.
My motto is, “mind over matter”, any goal is achievable if you put 100% into whatever you are doing.
I work closely with domestic abuse organisations in Essex; namely, Next Chapter, Safer Places and Safe Steps (formerly known as Southend-on-Sea Domestic Abuse Projects (SOSDAP)), who refer Clients directly to me that need representation and/or advice in respect to Non-Molestation Orders, Occupation Orders, Divorces and other Family Law matters.
I regularly attend the Chelmsford Law Clinic, where I provide free, 30 minute legal advice on Family matters to Clients at a pre-booked session.
I have recently been put on a rota for the Anglia Ruskin University Law Clinic, where I provide free advice to Clients and work alongside the Law Students, who take notes of the session.
I am a Trustee of the Law Society Charity, which is a charitable fund set up by the Law Society in 1974. It makes grants to a wide range of organisations with a view to directly furthering law and justice - (https://www.lawsociety.org.uk/about-us/law-society-charity/).
I am a Board Member for LawSavers CIC, working on an alternative, reduced fee initiative being launched nationwide.
I am also a Trustee for the Community Legal Centre Essex (CLCE), a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, allowing LawSavers to be a subsidiary of the CIO.
