I am a solicitor acting for clients who require representation at the police station,Magistrates and Crown Court. I qualified as a duty solicitor and have provided legal advice and assistance in to allegations across the spectrum of criminal offending.
I left school to undertake an apprenticeship as an electrical engineer and later became a director of the company until it was taken over/sold. It was at this point I undertook qualification as a solicitor obtaining a law degree LLB (Hons) and completing the legal practice course. My experience includes instruction on cases at the 'Old Bailey' such as R-v-Hamsa Dodi applying/resulting in changes of the law in relation to 'joint venture/enterprise'.
The defence of of those accused of criminal offences is paramount to ensure justice within the judicial system. I try to ensure that evidence not immediately available to the defence requiring investigation of the events/circumstances is obtained. I appreciate the stress and anguish caused when someone is wrongfully accused and take no greater pleasure than to see an individuals relief when found (proven) innocent. Happily I can say i have witnessed that relief on several occasions and particularly in relation to a wrongfull allegation of 'Rape' in R-v-Asika.
