Profile

I am a very experienced extradition lawyer.  I have represented defendants in the UK and abroad in extradition proceedings both for European Arrest Warrant and non EU requests including; USA, Australia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Albania, Norway, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Greece, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands and Sweden.

I specialise in Extradition proceedings in first instance hearings at Westminster Magistrates’ Court and also in Extradition Appeals and Judicial Review claims to the High Court, dealing with challenges on legal points as well as Human Rights issues, including Articles 2, 3 ,5, 6 and 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).

In addition I have substantial experience in cases featuring allegations of political corruption, torture and discrimination against foreign states, as well as Immigration and Asylum claims linked to extradition proceedings.

I provide advice in relation to Interpol Notices, surrender of requested persons to the UK and foreign states and liability for arrest and detention.

Committed and passionate about providing a very robust defense to the rights of my clients, I am often recommended and chosen over other lawyers in my field.
