MW Solicitors are looking for a paralegal to join our Civil Litigation Teams in our Fulham Office.

We would like to hear from ambitious LPC graduates (or soon to be LPC graduates) who are looking to begin their legal careers and work towards qualification. We adopt a unique approach to recruitment. We believe in rewarding hard work and talent from within the firm and so we recruit our trainee solicitors by employing them first as paralegals for a 12 to 15 month period.  As a paralegal, you will assist fee earners with the profitable management of their caseload whilst practicing the highest codes of professional conduct and customer service.

Job Description

Main duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide support to fee earners with their daily workload, under supervision
  • To deal wherever possible with routine client and third party enquirers
  • Undertaking legal research
  • At all times to exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner
  • Ensuring the confidentiality and security of the business, and client, documentation and information
  • Complying with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors
  • Ensuring good working relationships with external institutions and organisations
  • To attend on and to assist counsel and clients at court and in conference when called upon to do so. To report to the fee earner with conduct of the matter promptly as to matters occurring at court or conference, and to take full and detailed notes of all significant matters
  • To visit clients at their place of business or home if called upon to do so, with the permission of the head of department or a partner or as directed
  • To attend all departmental meetings relating to the appropriate training seat(s) in which you are based.

Required Qualifications

  • Law or Non-law graduate
  • Completion of GDL (if applicable)
  • Completion of LPC (or soon to be LPC graduate)
