The ambition of the firm and its desire to continue expanding greatly appeals to me. I want to feel like as the company grows I will too as an aspiring solicitor.
McMillan Williams focus on client care is extremely important. McMillan Williams wishes to be accessible to all and to maintain a long lasting personal relationship with clients.
The recruitment process is something that I admire, which rewards talent and hard work from within the firm. Recruitment is meritocratic and diverse meaning everybody has a chance to join the firm and progress. I hope to eventually obtain a training contract with McMillan Williams.
At McMillan Williams, I am going to be working in personal injury. I look forward to gaining more practical experience in an area of law that I studied as part of my university degree.
The interest and faith shown in me from the beginning have been fantastic. I have been made to feel like I am really wanted here and that will do wonders for my confidence and performance going forward.
The McMillan Williams annual Advocacy competition is something that interested me when applying for the firm. It is something that is unique to the firm and will help to expand on the experience I had with mooting at university. I hope this will help to improve my advocacy skills in addition to being an enjoyable experience.
I have undertaken legal work placements at Forsters LLP and the Crown Prosecution Service which has reaffirmed my desire to become a solicitor.
In addition to legal work experience, past jobs have included well-respected companies such as Warner Brothers and John Lewis. I have also worked in Hospitality at the entertainment venue Watford Colosseum
I have volunteered with a number of charity organisations such as the Citizens Advice Bureau, RSPCA and UEA Street Law which have all had a significant impact in my development.
