I joined the firm as a paralegal in January 2015 and started my Training Contract in March 2016. I spent my time as a paralegal and my first seat as a trainee in Residential Conveyancing undertaking mainly the following types of work:
Since then I have undertaken my second seat in Family law, more specifically working on Public Law Children (care cases). My current seat is in Commercial / Residential Conveyancing.
With just under a year to go until the end of my training contract I hope to get experience in another one of the many seats available for trainees at McMillan Williams.
MW runs an annual advocacy competition as part of its unique Training and Development Programme. This gives Paralegals and Trainees the opportunity to practice their advocacy skills and illustrates the commitment MW has to training all of their staff to a very high standard.
