I have extensive experience of residential and commercial property as well as general non-contentious work, including wills and probate and I offer a practical approach combined with a sound knowledge of my areas of expertise.
“On 10 December 2014, my sister Rosalind Gilmour died in England, leaving her flat to be sold. Living in Canada, one can imagine how we didn’t have any idea about the rules governing the conveyance of property. Luckily for us, our solicitor recommended Hilary Beckitt. On completion of the sale and transfer of the property, our estate agent told us that Hilary was “great to work with, proficient and prompt”. Since this was also our experience, we wish to gratefully acknowledge Hilary’s contribution to our peace of mind during a difficult period in our lives.” - Dorothea Booth and Suzanne Gebauer
“I have been recommending Hilary for over 20 years now and during that time she has always demonstrated high standards of client care, and provides excellent advice and communication, which some solicitors do not. I have used her myself in buying and selling and would not hesitate to recommend her again. As an estate agent, agreeing a sale is the first part, seeing it through to completion needs an experienced and competent solicitor on the team. All of my clients that have used her have been happy and I know they will use her again.” - Edward Foley, Owner, Winkworth Wimbledon
“I appreciate your expertise in pushing through the sale for me and have nearly finished the renovations needed to settle in. - G A (Dec 2016)
Outside the office, Hilary likes to keep fit by swimming. She has also started taking piano lessons after a gap of many years and is enjoying building up a contemporary/jazz repertoire. She feels however that it will not be necessary for her ever to give up her day job!
